My Family and I

When I'm not working my 9-to-5 or behind the camera chasing golden hour, you’ll probably find me outside kayaking, riding side-by-sides, knitting, cross-stitching, and relaxing with a fishing pole in hand. If I could spend the whole day on the water with my partner and a good podcast or audiobook playing, I absolutely would. The love for stories spills over into everything I do. I’m always seeking for new ways to grow, learn, and stay inspired. But above all, spending time with my family, they’re my biggest cheerleaders and the reason I do what I do.

Photography is part of who I am. The other part is being a mom of two amazing boys (15 and 12) and a bonus mom to three wonderful kids — our only daughter (21) and twin boys (19) — my family is my greatest inspiration.

Funny enough, I wasn’t always the “artsy” one. I actually dreaded art class growing up, feeling like creativity just wasn’t in me. But the moment I picked up a camera, everything changed — something clicked, literally and figuratively. Through the lens, I found my own kind of art: real, honest, and deeply personal.
